Travel Expenses

  • One representative per BC First Nation (Band) may receive travel and hotel expense reimbursement. 

  • Rates are based on most-economical travel to attend the nearest session.

  • One night of hotel accommodation at the meeting venue, at the negotiated rate (Quote FNESC Regional Session) is reimbursable for participants who are more than an hour away from the meeting venue.   If you need more nights for flight/ferry schedule reasons, please contact FNESC in advance to confirm eligibility.  Hotel is reimbursed only at the negotiated rate.

  • Travel claim forms will be provided at the meeting. 

  • Travel claims must be mailed to FNESC, post-marked within 30 days of the meeting.  Include original receipts for hotel, ferry, airplane, taxi and parking.

Tripartite Education Framework Agreement

At each Regional Session, a representative from Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada will be available to meet individually with any First Nations school or Community reps that would like to talk about the Tripartite Education Framework Agreement.  If you are interested, please check “yes” below and you will be contacted in advance of the Regional Session to arrange a meeting time.

You will receive a registration confirmation by email upon submitting your RSVP.  It will also contain hotel phone numbers and room rates in case you need to book hotel accommodation.   Participants are responsible for their own hotel arrangements. 

Important Notes

  • Regional Sessions are two-day meetings. Breakfast is provided from 8:30; Meeting 9am to about 4:30pm; Lunch provided
  • Draft agenda: will be available on the FNESC website events page, subject to change
  • Expense claim forms will be provided to eligible applicants at the event. They are due within 30 days of the event.
  • You are responsible for booking and paying for your hotel room, and for cancellations/no-show charges.
